THAI BASIL

Basil which has been bred in Southeast Asia for its spicy anise flavor. Thai basil is hardier than sweet basil, standing up better to heated applications, with a slightly firmer texture. The leaves are more narrow than sweet basil and are serrated on the edges with veins and stems flushing dark purple.
