OYSTER LEAF

These unusual leaves provoke astonishment in anyone unfamiliar with their distinctive oyster flavor. With eyes closed, you really wonder if you’re tasting something from the sea. Originally from the Scottish coast, these are soft leaves with a white downy coating. The plants are temperamental and grow very slowly, in some years producing tender, glistening blue flowers.
