SWEET CICELY

Sweet Cicely was the very first herb grown in the Pratum garden, and holds a special place in our hearts. It’s another aromatic member of the carrot family (parsley, dill) with a sweet licorice flavor. Cicely is nature’s Good N’ Plenty.
The shape is triangular but elongated, like the sword ferns of our local forests. It has a beautiful and elegant appearance, adding length and dimension to a dish. Consider using it alongside, or instead of, the more commonly used fennel fronds, especially in dishes that welcome a bit of sweetness.
